Mares are infecting the Islanders… Collect Orb Items and return the Islanders back to normal before time runs out or before you too become infected!

Orb Items

• Helpful Fruit: Restores Mares to their Islander form, activated when passing by a Mare
• Magical Flute: Summons Magical Islanders to help (x3 Heals, lasts 30 seconds), activated when pressing spacebar
• Infinity Flower: Enables your Character's ability to make infinite heals (1.5x the move speed, lasts 15 seconds), activated when passing flower in-game

How to Play

• Press spacebar to begin game
• Use arrow/WASD keys to navigate
• Use spacebar to activate Magical Flute

Install instructions

[ Windows Instructions ]

- Download the zip file for Windows and extract the content into a folder location on your system, then run the 'Daymare.exe' file.

[ MacOS Instructions ]

- Download the zip file for Mac OS and extract the .app file to a location on your system, double click Daymare.app (or just Daymare if '.app' is hidden) and the game should run!

[ Linux Instructions ]

- Honestly, I don't use Linux, if you do, I believe in your ability to figure it out, cheers!

I could play this all day! Great music, lovely island and helping people. I find things a little too easy (especially if I immediately cure the first infected), but wouldn't want it too hard :)

Let's all go to Sweden! Don't worry, no people here, only gnomes.

You have to find titular 10 gnomes as you search the location by navigating between photographs. Look in every nook and cranny as those little fellas tend to be quite shy really.

Install instructions

No installation needed, it's a standalone game. Just download and unpack it.

Mac users: if your Mac says 'Unable to find game' - move the game from Downloads to Desktop, or Documents. Catalina will not play this game (this system requires everything to be notarized). I'm working on notarization of the game.

Linux users: I'm shiping this game for [Ubuntu 14.04 LTS] as it's the suggested version by the Game Maker Studio 2. if you encounter problems, check out this troubleshooting post on my website.

'Unable to find game' Why does this always happen with your games?

Ok I figured out that I can just drag to desktop and it worked!

Move it from Downloads to somewhere else. (Desktop)

Possibly the first one where I manage to find all the gnomes. :D Thanks for removing the time limit! ;) And also thanks for all the in-game bonus items. ;D

Downloaded the game for Windows, but whenever I try to launch, it gives me the message 'Nothing that can be launched was found.'

I assume you downloaded zip file unpacked it into a folder and then opened the .exe file in that folder?

So happy to see a new release!...However as usual, game isn't opening via download link for Mac, nor via game website as directed...Both result in error message :/

“10 Gnomes in Malmo-2” can’t be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software.'

...and says to contact developer. Also I tried updating my mac OS to Catalina in case that mattered, to no avail...Will keep trying different methods on my end. It's torture not being able to get to your games!! Yours are the best !!!

Honestly Catalina is the problem here. :/

They allow only notarized apps on that system, and this is frankly beyond my skills. :/

Hi, I found a workaround for Catalina !

0) open the Terminal application

1) copy the Ressources in the expected directory with the following command :

Mac Os Download

(I assumed that the 10 Gnomes app file in your Download directory)

cp -r ~/Downloads/10 Gnomes in Malmo.app/Contents/Resources/* ~/Library/Application Support/com.mateuszskutnik.10gnomesmalmo/

2) launch the game with the following command

~/Downloads/10 Gnomes in Malmo.app/Contents/MacOS/Mac_Runner

3) enjoy !
